John & I will be making Seville organge jam and Cumquat marmalade in a few weeks - you're welcome to join us. BYO glass jars.

We have a bumper crop of Seville oranges this year so I'm looking for additional things we can make with them. Last year I made a chutney which was quite nice. The fruit itself is sour, so you can't really eat it. If you have any ideas or recipes, I'd be very interested ~
How about Seveille organge soap? or Seville orange ice cream?

Hi Marianne,

Your blog looks great! I have some ideas for you too -

- Earthworks course run by Sutherland Council, which teaches how to make environmentally friendly cleaning products, no-dig garden, composting & worm-farming. It is on the Sutherland website

- I will ask Justin about the Community Garden at Sutherland... i think you can get yourself a garden plot for free, which you can tend and grow things in yourself

- If the community garden doesn't work out, you can make our vegetable garden work! I don't think Bradley and Craig use it at all... so you could ask them if you can go over regularly to make the vegetable beds neat and tidy again, and grow food.

- You could do a mechanics course. Sally would love it!

- I did a glass fusing course with Mum a few years ago in Penshurst. It was great! Ask Mum for the details... we made platters and plates and all sorts of useable things.

... and you can build a shed at our house if you want. Justin needs someone to store his bicycles.

Talk soon!
