I’m bored! I want something new!

I needed something new in my life, something exciting and different. Five days a week I get up early in the morning to go to work in the middle of the city I live in. At work I sit in front of a computer screen pretty much all day which puts a nice amount of money in my bank account by the end of the month. Having enough money to live is definitely nice and can buy almost anything but it just can’t buy everything, especially not happiness.

That my world pretty much evolves around computers and money somehow makes me feel very disconnected from the true essence of life. Don’t get me wrong, I got no idea what’s the true essence of life. But I’ve got the feeling that what I’m doing at the moment is not going to bring me closer to it. I just wanted a change in my life without changing my whole life.

A while ago I started to cook. I cook almost every day now and I love it. I love how I can create something out of a few raw ingredients and some equipment. I love the creating as much as the enjoying in the end. And it is especially nice to share it with somebody else.

I want to find more activities like cooking. Activities where I get to create things with my own hands. Things I can enjoy because I know exactly what they are made of. I want to try out things I have never done before or I haven’t done for a long time.

I have the feeling there are a lot of things I can make myself, within my own home with already existing equipment, and I’m going to find them now and try them out.
